Sony LDI-100 Series HMDs

D100 Stereo Connection

The following information on hooking up the stereo HMDs (LDI-D100B and LDI-D100BE) is provided by Sony:

Connector:

On the LDI-100B, the "AV In" connector on the back of the adapter is used for composite video and stereo audio using the AV cable, which is a the conductor connector with Video-Yellow, Audio Right-Red and Audio Left-White RCA pin connectors. The AV In connector is used for "Control In" for the D100B. The White RCA connector is used to input sync signal to indicate the polarity for left eye and right eye. The rest of Red and Yellow RCA connectors are used to select 2D mode or 3D mode. This will be described in the printed documentation.

White Audio Left Sync pulse/FLD IN

Sync Signal:

For stereo, you do not necessarily have to input a separate sync signal as the LDI-D100B can automatically lock to the sync signal of SVGA. When the polarity is not correct, please use the switch that you will find on the side of the adapter that says "Polarity A-B". This allows you to flip the polarity for your eyes. Still, 3D mode has to be selected to view in stereo, which can be easily be accomplished by plugging "Mono 3.5mm Mini Phone audio plug" to "Control IN" or connect RED and Yellow connectors of the AV cables to each other.

In case you want to feed your own sync signal, here is the signal format:

SVGA Stereo:
