The Color Science Library is a library of C language functions that can convert among 18 different color spaces. The library can easily be incorporated into any C or C++ program and adapted to meet your needs. CSL supports multiple platforms including Microsoft Windows 95/NT, Apple MacOS, Sun Solaris, and Silicon Graphics IRIX. [Compiler list.]
Color Science Library Version 2.0 is now available for all four platforms. The Windows 95/NT version of CSL 2.0 includes a sample application that displays many conversions concurrently, including color names, as shown in this screen shot. Color names are derived from tables originally produced by the U.S. National Bureau of Standards.Among the new features of CSL 2.0:
